Interlibrary Loan is a library service that allows Shaw University students and faculty to borrow books and materials not owned by Shaw University from other academic libraries in the country. We recommend that you try to retrieve your requested materials from a CRC Library BEFORE submitting an ILL request, as the CRC resources will be easier, faster, and more flexible for you to work with.
Shaw University Libraries does our best to receive items using interlibrary loan that will incur no cost to you as the borrower.
Please be aware that, because Interlibrary Loans are not owned by the Shaw University Library System, any items borrowed using this service are the full responsibility of the borrower, and damages or missing items may incur a charge on the borrower's account for the cost of replacement and processing fees as determined by the lending library.
These fees are nonnegotiable and will be due BEFORE the borrower can register for the next semesters' classes. Please make sure to treat your Interlibrary Loan items with care!
The specifications of your request will determine if you are able to use ILL as a resource for your research or other material needs.
